Killer on death row: 'It's a very surreal experience'
Tue May 15, 2012
I keep looking around here, but I'm not seeing much action from the folks who are against the death penalty. Where are your comments in the face of this?
Afghan massacre suspect's wife: 'He did not do this'
Mon Mar 26, 2012
Keri - wake up, sweetie. He did it. Guilt or innocence is not really the question. The only question is how to blow up enough smoke to make this look not as bad as it does. Personally, I think the best justice for this guy would be to hand him over to the Afghans.
Dick Cheney recovering at hospital after heart transplant

Thanks Greg! And OK - you score on the 1st Amendment thing - I'll just fall back on the fact that we are supposed to "celebrate" diversity and differences of opinion. We do a great job of that - unless it happens to be something that someone disagrees with.

Can someone PLEASE explain to me how comments get "collapsed by community" on this thing? I am amazed at the number that have been.

This is where I live, simply because I have no other choice. We certainly hope there is good that comes out of this. But we also hope that we don't repeat so many of our past mistakes. We need to make sure that this is not a short-term-gain-long-term-loss thing.
Priest who denied communion to lesbian suspended
Mon Mar 12, 2012
Folks, there is something between the lines in this story you need to make sure you get. This priest was suspended because of how he HANDLED the situation - NOT because he refused to serve the woman communion. It's one of the things I find interesting about Catholicism in general. I am a Christian.
One in four Americans has more debt than savings
Tue Feb 21, 2012
So - what would you say about a family who was earning, say, $50,000 a year and was carrying $300,000 in debt?? Is that bad?? Now - think about this - proportionally, that is EXACTLY where we are as a nation.
BMW going 100 mph crashes into KFC

A little more chlorine for the gene pool. Given what I am reading from her record above, 1) thank goodness she was the only one killed and 2) the rest of the folks in that area will be that much safer on the road.
